Lent/Easter Happenings
It was a marvelous Lent/Easter season at Faith Community.
The Adult Choir did
a wonderful job of presenting the events
of Palm Sunday to Easter in song, with visuals on the screens.
We discovered that
Jesus often gives us “outlandish” invites to believe – such as He did to Thomas when He invited him to stick his finger in the holes in
His hands and the wound in His side.
Our children’s ministry on Sunday mornings, called FaithBuilders, helps the children learn more about Jesus and the Bible. The children are dismissed during church to go to their special time of learning.
Lost & Found
During the next couple of months, we will be exploring some of the stories in the Bible that describe those who are lost being found. Sometimes the being lost is not their fault – like a lost sheep or coin, while at other times they became lost through their wanderings – like a prodigal son. (Check out Luke 15) Join us as we discover a god who loves us so much that he seeks to find and save those who are lost.
Life at Faith Community

Our children’s choir, Grace Notes!, recently sang during worship. We always enjoy their excitement and participation in church.
As we take steps of faith to grow closer to Jesus, we occasionally get to celebrate together what the Lord is doing. Recently we baptized a young man who has put his faith in Jesus and is seeking to grow as a disciple.

To help our children learn about God, we try to use a variety of methods. Here is a picture from the time we used Legos to teach them the Bible. It shows what they created to tell God’s Word. We celebrated with a Lego cake!

If you are looking to worship in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, then Faith Community Covenant Church may be just what you are looking for. Faith Community  is an active member of the denomination known as the Evangelical Covenant Church. Along with our area sister ECC churches of First Covenant Church and Austintown Covenant Church, we strive to express the same missionary view that the ECC was founded on. We are followers of Jesus Christ – who are learning weekly through God’s Word, who are seeking to encounter the Lord in worship, and who are seeking to serve Him and our community in a variety of ways.

Faith Community’s worship style is one that combines traditional and contemporary expressions of the Christian faith in a warm and inviting way. Pastor Mike Zabel teaches us from the Bible each week and helps us learn how to apply God’s Word to our daily lives. We worship at 10:45 on Sunday mornings. Children are part of our worship until they leave for the Nursery and FaithBuilders following a special time for them
