MEET THE FIRST LADY

CELENA M. STEWART

​

 

First Lady Celena Stewart was born outside the nation’s capital

in Fort Washington, Maryland. After graduation from high school

she pursued and received her B.A. in Business Administration

from Clark Atlanta University. She then worked in the mortgage

industry for several years while also developing a life of service through ministry.

 

She is known as a servant

leader, teacher, intercessor, and administrator of Gods people.

Celena currently serves as the Minister of Outreach for Berean

Christian Church, under the leadership of Dr. Kerwin B. Lee,

Pastor. She has held the position since 2002 and sees her work

as a love offering to God.

 

As the Minister of Outreach, she oversees several ministries:

global missions, local missions, benevolence, prison ministry,

evangelism, employment, and nursing home ministries. In addition, she directs and manages the Berean Christian Outreach Center which provides food and clothing to hundreds of community residents through a food pantry and clothing closet program. She has led teams of missionaries to serve in Uganda and S. Africa; likewise she has also led local missionaries to serve alongside the American Red Cross in disaster relief efforts for Oklahoma tornado victims, and for Hurricanes Katrina, Harvey, Irma, Maria, Florence, and Michael.

Minister Celena continues to seek growth, self-development,

and elevation in her calling. Living outside the box, she is able to

explore non-traditional ways to reach God’s people. It is her belief that as she continues to grow, the impact she makes for God will increase and God will get greater glory out of her life. Minister Stewart believes that only what she does for Christ will last, which is her “WHY” and she strives to live each day with that principle as a guide.
