MEET THE SENIOR PASTOR 

H. Lionel Stewart

 

Hugh Lionel Stewart is the Senior Pastor of Faith Community Christian Church.

​

Pastor Stewart has always had a heart to reach the lost and to uplift those who are hurt and broken and to help them to a place of restoration.

 

Pastor Lionel as he is affectionately called was born and raised in the beautiful island of Barbados. After high school, at the age of 19 years he migrated to America and resided in New York. He later relocated to Wisconsin and then to Metro Atlanta where he presently resides.

​

He accepted his call to ministry in 1996 and served as Pastor of Pastoral Care for the Berean Christian Church, Stone Mountain for over five years.

​

Pastor Stewart received an Associate degree in Accounting from Bronx Community College and his Bachelor’s degree in Religion from Luther Rice University. He has worked in the field of finance for many years and is currently employed with the Fulton County Government as a Budget Analyst.

​

Pastor Stewart has a deep love for God and for others and continues to minister selflessly to people from all walks of life. His passion and purpose for life is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, to minister to the underprivileged and to give a voice to those with no voice.

​

His love for God and travel has taken across the seas to Johannesburg, Cape Town, South Africa and also to Uganda for missionary service.

​

He is an avid tennis player and an is enthusiastic sports fan.

​

Pastor Stewart feels blessed to have his lovely wife Celena Stewart working alongside him in ministry. He is also a proud father and grandfather.
